As a labor assistant/doula I do not do the following…..

•        I do not work for your care providers I work for you.
•        I will not make decisions for you.
•        I do not perform clinical tasks such as vaginal exams, fetal heart tones, vitals, blood
         pressure, etc.
•        I do not argue, take over, or steal the show.
